Football is more than just a sport in Malaysia — it's a way of life. From the red-earth pitches of Kelantan's villages to the grand stadiums of Selangor, football brings millions of Malaysians together across all ages and backgrounds. At 857tv, we understand that passion completely. Our football betting platform is built specifically for Malaysian fans who want a straightforward, fair and exciting betting experience.
The Malaysia Super League is the top tier of Malaysian football and naturally the biggest draw for most users on the platform 857tv. Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) has dominated the league for over a decade and remains the most popular team to bet on. Yet challengers like Kedah FC, Selangor FC, Terengganu FC, and Sabah FC consistently push hard — making every Super League round full of unexpected twists. At 857tv, all Liga Super Malaysia matches are offered with full odds coverage, including Asian Handicap, Over/Under and in-play betting.
No other football league in the world captures Malaysian fans' hearts quite like the English Premier League. From Liverpool loyalties passed down through generations to Manchester United debates at every kopitiam — the EPL is woven into the fabric of Malaysian popular culture. At 857tv, our EPL coverage is among the most comprehensive available — all 380 matches across a full season are open for betting with a wide range of markets.
Beyond the EPL, 857tv also offers betting on La Liga (Spain), Bundesliga (Germany), Serie A (Italy), Ligue 1 (France), UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, and FIFA international fixtures including World Cup Qualifiers and the AFF Championship. So even when the EPL is in its summer break, there are still hundreds of matches from other leagues to bet on every day at 857tv.
Asian Handicap is the most popular bet type among experienced football bettors at 857tv. Unlike 1X2 which offers three outcomes, Asian Handicap narrows it down to two, with a half- or full-goal advantage applied to either side. For example, if Johor DT carries a -1.5 handicap against Kedah, JDT must win by at least two goals for your bet to pay out. On the flip side, if you back Kedah +1.5, they can lose by one, win, or draw — your bet still wins. This system also eliminates the void/refund scenario that occurs in standard 1X2 betting when a match ends in a draw.
In-play betting during live matches is one of the standout features that sets 857tv compared to other platforms. Unlike pre-match betting which can only be placed before kick-off, in-play betting at 857tv lets you enter and exit markets at any point throughout the full 90 minutes.
Popular in-play strategies among experienced bettors 857tv is to wait until the 15–25 minute mark before placing your bet. By then, you can already read the flow of the game — who's dominating, whether there are any early injuries, and how both teams are holding up mentally. The odds may have shifted from their opening lines, but you're making your decision with far more information than just pre-match stats on paper.
Another popular feature is the Cash Out function at 857tv — which lets you withdraw the value of your bet early before the match ends. If your team is leading 2–0 at the 75th minute but you're worried about a late equaliser, Cash Out lets you lock in most of your winnings without waiting for the final whistle.
Accumulator parlays are another fan favourite at 857tv. The idea is simple — combine several matches on a single slip, and if all your picks come through, the multiplied odds can turn a small RM20 bet into a payout worth hundreds of MYR. The risk is higher, of course, but that's exactly what makes parlay so thrilling for football fans across 857tv.
For the Malaysian Liga Super in particular, players who closely follow the league will have a significant edge. Factors like a congested fixture schedule, pitch conditions in Sabah and Sarawak, the motivation of teams fighting to avoid relegation, or sides that have already secured a semifinal spot — all of these influence match outcomes. At 857tv, we provide up-to-date team statistics, head-to-head records and match analysis to help you make better-informed betting decisions.
The Malaysia Cup and FA Cup Malaysia are also always available at 857tv, opening up even more local football betting opportunities throughout the year. Both tournaments regularly deliver upsets when lower-division clubs knock out Super League giants — making them a go-to for high-odds value among players at 857tv.

Real experiences from 857tv members who love betting on football
"I've been a football fan since school — always followed the Liga Super. When I discovered 857tv, I started trying football betting and the interface is incredibly easy to use. Depositing with Touch 'n Go takes seconds. Saturday EPL nights have become a proper routine — I put in a 3-team parlay while catching the highlights. Won over RM4,000 in my first three months."
"What I love about 857tv is the Cash Out feature. When Johor DT were leading 2–1, I could cash out early before those nail-biting final minutes. Withdrawing via DuitNow was fast too — the money was in my bank account within 15 minutes. The Super League coverage is also spot on, with every match available."
"During the AFF Championship, 857tv had odds for every Malaysia match. I backed Malaysia to beat Vietnam on Asian Handicap -0.25 at odds of 2.40 — Malaysia won 1–0 and I walked away with RM960 from a RM400 stake. On top of that, 857tv was running a bonus promotion just for Malaysia matches. Hands down the best football platform for Malaysians."
